“Women Empowerment in Sport” Erasmus+ Sport Small Collaborative Partnership project Final Conference & Evaluation Meeting was held between 31st October – 4th November in Istanbul!
📣What did we do during these intense 5 days?
✅We have shared our long-term project’s outcomes and results of 3 countries in the first part of our Final Conference.
✅In the second part of our Final Conference, 4 important change-makers have shared their experiences & knowledge on how to empower more women through sport iniatives. Mrs. Birute Statkeviciene who is PhD in Lithuanian Sport University, Mrs. İlknur Hacısoftaoğlu who is PhD in Istanbul Bilgi Üniversity in Sports Management Department, Mrs. Shirin Amin who is General Coordinator of Champions Factory, Mrs. Ceren Ateş who is former basketball player and current sport agent in TAGAR Academy have shared their valuable know-how with young people from 10 countries and underlined the social empowerment can be achieved by sport.
✅Women Volleyball match between Eczacıbaşı and Fenerbahçe has been watched in Burhan Felek Sport Arena.
✅In order to raise awareness on low participation of women in sport field, we have participated to Istanbul Marathon Fun Run.
Next phase will continue with dissemination seminars in 3 countries. Stay tuned to learn more about the outcomes of this project!
