The second transnational meeting of Women Empowerment in Sport project which is co-financed by European Commission in the scope of Erasmus+ Sport Program, was held on 22-26 June 2019 in Kaunas, Lithuania.
This meeting aims to organize awareness activities and sports activities in order to increase the sport participation of young women who are between the ages of 15-24. 19 youth workers who are active in the sport field came together within the great effort of our host organization Aktyvistai in Lithuania.
Just before two important study visits to Kaunas Municipality and Lithuanian Sports University; our participants organized a sport and awareness event in Kaunas on 23rd of June. During “Usage of sport as an effective tool in inclusion and empowerment” workshops; our participants have shared their ideas and their local sport realities. In summer period, 3 different countries (Bulgaria, Lithuania and Turkey) will implement local sport activities to increase the participation of young women in sport field.
Our next stop will be the International Sport Event which will be organized by Champions Factory in Bulgaria in 26-30 August 2019!
